Scarlet Dragon ran better than his 10th position suggested, beaten just under 4 lengths in the John Smith’s Magnet Cup at York on Saturday 15 July, having not had the best of runs in a race that was run at a slow pace and turned in to a sprint, which would not have suited him. He will be best now returning to 1m 4f and the Glorious Stakes at Goodwood on Friday August 4th race time 1.50 is his likely next stop.
