THE PRINCES POET LEADS THE CHARGE AT WINDSOR
The Princes Poet, pictured, was very well ridden by Charlie Bishop to be in the van most of the way to land the 5 furlong novices’ stakes at Windsor on Saturday 26th June. He was led in by his principal owners, Laurence and Josephine Prince and it was great, as it was the first time they had seen him run on a racecourse. The Princes Poet had a setback last year, but has returned as fresh as paint with a promising run at Nottingham and then ran below par at Ripon due to the bounce factor. He did nothing wrong at Windsor and will go on and win his handicaps – we do not often have sprint bred horses, but he is another good purchase for us by Anthony Bromley of Highflyer Bloodstock.
