BOY BROWNING VERY IMPRESSIVE
Boy Browning went a long way to fulfilling the potential that he had showed on his debut at Glorious Goodwood when easily disposing of the opposition in the Restricted Maiden at Windsor on Monday evening. Charlie Bishop reported afterwards that the horse was very attune mentally and he is going to go on improving. We had a great team of Owners attending and a very exciting evening was had by all.
Boy Browning had a bad draw, but his raw ability overcame that disadvantage and he was soon in contention tracking the second favourite, but once he was asked to go before the furlong marker, the result was never going to be in any doubt and although the official winning distance was four and a half lengths, it seemed a very long looking four and a half lengths to this Racing Manager.
His next race, providing he is sound and well, will be at Newmarket on Saturday August 27th in the Tattersalls Somerville Sales Race worth £100,000, for which he gets in with virtually bottom weight for the colts and does not incur a penalty. He is also engaged in the second Tattersalls Sales Race on Saturday October 1st and that is the plan he will be following.
Boy Browning coped well with the fast ground conditions and will be even better when later on in his career we start upping him in trip and he should certainly get a mile and possibly a mile and a quarter on his pedigree.
