MOUNT OLYMPUS GAINS FIRST WIN AT NOTTINGHAM
Mount Olympus had always promised to make dramatic improvement when moved up in trip and that was the case in the Racing TV Novice Stakes at Nottingham on Wednesday 27 Oct 2021.
Tom Marquand gave him a beautiful ride, sitting just off the pace, but he was always going best in the straight and beat the well fancied Mellow Magic, with some useful National Hunt bumper winners behind as well.
This was a very encouraging performance, but the handicapper did not take it lightly and has raised him 18lb. There looks to be more improvement in this horse.
